Well, 2/3 of us are...I have a sore throat, headache, and just feel blah. Sierra sounds just a little raspy and has a runny nose. She's napping right now, which is exactly what I should be doing. But, I thought I'd do you the favor and update this silly little thing, called the Blog.
A lot has happened in the past 11 days.
For starters, my friend Rachel, got engaged! She's marrying Austin McClure, who is my relative, so now me and Rach get to be related. That seems to be the trend. When I married Andy, I became Miranda's cousin!
Miranda and I hosted December Girl's Nite, here. We had a very handsome waiter, named Andrew, who did wonderful. Much more wonderful than the hostesses, who left a match on the table for no apparent reason, had two less forks than we should've, messed up the "Welcome", burned a finger on the teapot, almost tripped on skirt exiting the formal dining room/living room, and probably a whole host of other things. So much that I think one of the girl's asked, "what is going on in there?". But it was deeelicious!! We had shrimp coctail, italian roast beef, on homeade rolls, green bean casserole, party potatoes, sorbet, and homeade hot lava cake with peppermint ice cream, and sparkling grape juice. But we had fun! Gift exchange followed dinner, and then some "games" followed that:)
Tuesday night, Sierra and I attended a Pampered Chef party which had really good food, Wednesday was the Christmas Program at Church, of which half of the time was spent in the Baby Room, per Sierra. Thursday night we went caroling around Congerville with some other couples and back to KLW's for chili which was also a really good meal! Friday, we headed to Mark & Tammy's for MRI Christmas Party, which also had really good food...I am loving food. Times like these remind me how much I love eating! Saturday, we stayed HOME! After a busy week, I really didn't want to go anywhere.
Sunday morning, here we go again, we headed to Champaign. One of Andy's good friends, Cal, lives there and invited us and some other couples for Church and out to eat. We had a good time and were glad we went. We headed back around 3 though, because we had Miller Christmas at Grandma's. Another good meal.
Andy called me about 2 hours ago and asked what was going on tonight. I told him that I was sick, so hopefully it'll be just another long, warm evening around the fire, drinking tea and all that. And eating chicken noodle soup. Boy, I must get an appetite when I'm sick.
Well, I better go to sleep before Sierra wakes up. Tata. Mails here!!!
