Punk's is 7 months old!

She's 7 months old today. Time is flying. I don't know how much she weighs. Hopefully at least 14 lbs now. I don't know how long she is. Too lazy to measure her right now. I do know that she is sitting, likes Cheerios, likes her laptop, penguin, and "Jingle Bottle". And she is crying right now, so I better go give some attention to her.

Well, this was Girls Night... sorry not a very good picture...

Hot Molten Lava Cake for dessert, with Punk's toes, how appetizing

The whole gang before they started meandering off...

future Mrs. McClure

Mrs. Cheese, herself. I must look really funny in the morning, don't know what else makes her smile this much...

This same morning, I went to get her out of her crib and she had both feet out of the legs and one leg even made it out to fresh air, through the buttons.

Another day, I found her side/stomach sleeping, and thought it was so cute. This morning, after her morning nap, she was also on her stomach. When I put her on her stomach, she doesn't like it very well unless theres a toy in front of her.

Already helping Mommy with the laundry.
"Stop takin that picture and come help me fold."

Just a random picture I thought was cute.

Yes, that is an Ice Mountain water jug. It is included in her "favorite toys of all times" list. Even more so when you put jingle bells in it and it makes noise when you shake it!!!! Yay for cheap, "homeade" toys.

Uncle Eric supervising her unwrapping.

Can you say "Bobblehead"? Normally, she doesnt look like this, musta been the way I took the picture. Actually, her head is rather small.

She is beginning to love her morning baths. She'll be in the hot tub in no time.

Our special girl.

And yes, she sprayed herself with her bottle at lunch. I just had to take a picture, but really wish that I could've videoed her response. It was priceless.

And last, but not least, Video with Mary Lou before she left for Florida.

Oh and did you hear, there's going to be another Little Crappie.

We're Sick

Well, 2/3 of us are...I have a sore throat, headache, and just feel blah. Sierra sounds just a little raspy and has a runny nose. She's napping right now, which is exactly what I should be doing. But, I thought I'd do you the favor and update this silly little thing, called the Blog.

A lot has happened in the past 11 days.

For starters, my friend Rachel, got engaged! She's marrying Austin McClure, who is my relative, so now me and Rach get to be related. That seems to be the trend. When I married Andy, I became Miranda's cousin!

Miranda and I hosted December Girl's Nite, here. We had a very handsome waiter, named Andrew, who did wonderful. Much more wonderful than the hostesses, who left a match on the table for no apparent reason, had two less forks than we should've, messed up the "Welcome", burned a finger on the teapot, almost tripped on skirt exiting the formal dining room/living room, and probably a whole host of other things. So much that I think one of the girl's asked, "what is going on in there?". But it was deeelicious!! We had shrimp coctail, italian roast beef, on homeade rolls, green bean casserole, party potatoes, sorbet, and homeade hot lava cake with peppermint ice cream, and sparkling grape juice. But we had fun! Gift exchange followed dinner, and then some "games" followed that:)

Tuesday night, Sierra and I attended a Pampered Chef party which had really good food, Wednesday was the Christmas Program at Church, of which half of the time was spent in the Baby Room, per Sierra. Thursday night we went caroling around Congerville with some other couples and back to KLW's for chili which was also a really good meal! Friday, we headed to Mark & Tammy's for MRI Christmas Party, which also had really good food...I am loving food. Times like these remind me how much I love eating! Saturday, we stayed HOME! After a busy week, I really didn't want to go anywhere.

Sunday morning, here we go again, we headed to Champaign. One of Andy's good friends, Cal, lives there and invited us and some other couples for Church and out to eat. We had a good time and were glad we went. We headed back around 3 though, because we had Miller Christmas at Grandma's. Another good meal.

Andy called me about 2 hours ago and asked what was going on tonight. I told him that I was sick, so hopefully it'll be just another long, warm evening around the fire, drinking tea and all that. And eating chicken noodle soup. Boy, I must get an appetite when I'm sick.

Well, I better go to sleep before Sierra wakes up. Tata. Mails here!!!

Florida

Well that perhaps counted as one of the fastest weeks of the year, but we loved every minute! Wednesday we visited Mote Aquarium because it was such a rainy day. I think Sierra really enjoyed it!

"Barbara Manatee"

Our little munchkin as a shark. I beginning to think she really likes masks.

Something we probably eat...

Instead of lugging the stroller around, we got to use the Snugli with Sierra. She did great in it.

Our baby's first Christmas!

A quick pic of Andy & I

China & Sierra hanging out in the jumperoo

U. Adam is so in love with his neices, can't you tell!

Sierra turned 6 months while we were there, so we went out to the beach to catch a few photos that will hopefully turn into her 6 mo. pics. Looks like we got a cheese on our hands. Some of them will be used in our Christmas cards too. She seemed to love the beach, which is great for her beach loving parents. It was so cute to watch her look at her feet in the sand and at one time she even got a fistful in her mouth when we weren't looking. Ugh...she proceeded to spit...and sputter...and spit...poor thing.

A cute picture of two very special people in my life.

And there are many pictures that I could post but I need to leave in about 15 mins. and I see the UPS truck outside our house ( maybe a Christmas gift??) and ironing to do so I best get on...

We Made It...

We arrived in Florida around 2pm ET yesterday. Our flight was pretty good, a little turbulence, which I've never felt before. I was a little jittery, perhaps because I was nervous about how Sierra would do. She fell asleep before we took off, which was great. But her nap only lasted about half hour, then she woke up dazed and confused. Just kidding, she did great while we were flying. Coming down, we had a bottle ready so her ears wouldn't pop, but she ending up drinking it all before we descended. So in all, she had 8 oz. of bottle...with hardly any burps. I thought she was going to be a spewing fountain.

An older man that was across the aisle, later confided in us, that he wasn't too excited when we sat by him, but was impressed that she was a "happy baby". Mom & Dad Ott came to pick us up.

It was rainy when we landed, but the closer we got to Sarasota, it cleared up.

We went back to their condo and Aaron & China came to say hi.

China was pretty smily and Sierra just stared, but we think they'll get along just great together.

For supper, we ate at Barnacle Bill's. Pretty good stuff! The bread was amazing!

Hope to post more later. We're going to Mote Marina Aquarium now.

Waking Up

Excuse her messy room. Usually she will talk more than this but this is just a glimpse into her mornings. She takes after her daddy in this timeframe. She plays around in her crib until one of us wakes up and goes to get her. I can't remember the last time that she cried for us to come get her, except for her naps.

Miss Independent

This morning, Sierra was getting her dose of fresh grean beans with rice cereal. She began to fuss like she didn't want them anymore, but then I noticed her grabbing at the spoon. So I took off her clothes and let her play with her food. The video shows the details...
